East Sussex Whole System Barometer indicators
Background
A small dashboard of indicators drawn from existing published performance reporting across each sector chosen by the East Sussex Health and Social Care Executive Group because they are each thought to give a useful guide as to how well our ‘whole system’ is working together. This focusses on operational issues and pressures, and enables assurance of delivery. The dashboard also informs our priorities for changes to the way we deliver integrated services, which is managed through our Oversight Boards as it provides a picture of where we have relative strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, and the overall expected impact of any changes to care models and pathways that is in train.
These indicators are currently under review as part of a wider exercise to finalise our shared priorities and integration programme and projects for 2022/23, which consists of identifying key pieces of work and updating our suite of metrics including our barometer measures, SMART priority objectives and lead KPIs. The secondary care measures relate to ESHT, rather than the local population which will be reflected in the next iteration of this report. In addition, a set of locally described indicators covering community healthcare and children and young people are also being explored.
